Glad there are no more Mondays this week
Hi all,
I hope you had a much more pleasant day than I did. After enjoying brilliant sunshine yesterday, today dawned dark again – so I couldn’t see the top of “my” mountain. That wouldn’t be so bad, but it seems to interfere with my husband’s satellite TV reception.
I should have counted how many different “choices” I had to make on the phone before I got to talk to a person. After 3 calls it still isn’t working properly, and I think the weather is the problem, but since we’ve had bad weather before, who knows?
I get pretty wound up when I have to deal with those phone menus. How about you? Care to start a revolution and refuse to deal with any company that uses them? Of course that might mean that we couldn’t do business with ANY company, but…
Phone menus aren’t the only thing annoying me today – I’m also on a rant about deceptive e-mail subject lines. The number of junk e-mails seems to increase every day and since many of them are duplicates, people seem to be working overtime to come up with some kind of subject line that will get their message opened.
Don’t they realize that if anyone wanted their products, an honest subject line would work much better? I guess not. At least some of them do afford a chuckle – like the ones that say “Act now, summer is almost here!” I’ve been getting that one for almost a year now. The hot deals for Christmas are interesting too. Not interesting enough to read the ad or buy, but interesting that someone is silly enough to keep sending them in January.

I’m counting on Tuesday to be a nicer day here in Idaho… I hope its a nice day where you are too!
