Will hype about "The Secret" turn people away from its message?
Have you read the book or seen the DVD?
I personally love the messages they contain, but now we’re seeing a lot of “Anti-Secret” comments and I have trouble understanding why.
Yes, some people are cashing in big by promoting “The Secret” and selling related products. Some are even selling systems for training your mind to accept the positive side of life. Is that bad? If people need the help, they’ll buy. If they don’t, they won’t.
Meanwhile, some say “The Secret” can actually be dangerous. Some say it advises people not to seek medical help – no, it doesn’t say that. It does say that focusing on wellness will aid everything your doctors are doing.
Some say “The Secret” will make people feel depressed and guilty for bringing bad things into their lives. Hmmm… I think those people are already feeling depressed and guilty. “The Secret” points out that the negative messages in our minds got there through years of programming – not by our conscious choice. It merely encourages us to “change the channel.”
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this – even if you don’t agree with me. So log on and share!

P.S. Tomorrow I’ll tell you about a visitor I had today, and why “The Secret” would change his life for the better.
