Follow up: Appreciation and the Law of Attraction
Wow. Sometimes the Law of Attraction works in strange ways – and quickly!
In my last post I told you I’d been thinking about my high school journalism teacher and thinking that I should write and tell her how much I appreciated her.
I went on line to try to find her address and found that she might still live in Priest River, or maybe in Spokane. But no actual address for either place. So I decided I’d have to find someone else who knew her to tell me where to find her.
As it turned out, I didn’t have to do that.
Today I went to town to visit the grocery store so I could re-fill the refrigerator. I don’t usually go on Saturday, but since I couldn’t force myself out of the house yesterday, I did. I for sure don’t usually stop by the Senior Center on Saturday – but I was going by and remembered something I’d left there when I volunteered at the Soup Kitchen on Monday. There were cars in the parking lot, so I swung in.
You know what’s coming next… there she was!
So, I got to tell Bette Ballbach in person that she was my favorite teacher. After grade school, high school, and college – she still stood out as the best.
She’s a very quiet lady, so didn’t say much more than “Thank you, I like knowing that.” But it made me feel good to finally tell her, and I expect it made her feel good too.
Can you make someone feel good today?
