Market with those business cards!
You talk to quite a few people in a day, right? Well, why not hand each one of them your business card? Even if you’ve given them one before.
If they ask why, tell them it’s so they can easily refer you to a friend – and having an extra card will save them the trouble of looking up your phone number. While you’re conversing, talk about how much you love what you do, how much fun it is to help people ____ (insert: get the benefit of whatever you do or have whatever you sell).
This will let them know that you welcome new business, have enthusiasm for what you do, and appreciate their referrals. Strange as it may seem, not all people realize that you’d appreciate getting referrals.
You can buy inexpensive business cards on line – or use a publisher program along with a box of blank cards and print them yourself. But do use those business cards!
