Commenting on blogs to gain links… be sensible!

Lately I’ve been deleting comments left on my blog – and that seems a bit mean, but there’s a reason.

The comments have absolutely no bearing on the content of the blog post.

For instance: This morning there was a comment on a post about developing a Military Niche for your real estate practice. The commenter chimed in to sell his or her services as a property manager for rental property owners who lack experience.

Obviously, the only reason for the comment was to gain a link. The person added nothing to the subject. And the silly thing is, he or she COULD have chosen to make a comment related to the post.

If you want to gain links by commenting, follow this simple formula:

  • First read the post.
  • Make a comment related to that post.

All bloggers welcome comments that continue the conversation – most of us welcome them even if they’re in (polite) disagreement.

So choose blog posts that spark a response in your mind, then comment away! You’ll gain the links you’re seeking.

Thanks for the suggestion my friend. I agree to your point that do not spam your posts just try to write something related to posts. Your related post will not be deleted and you can share your ideas with others also by doing this. :)
