2 things to remember this holiday week…
The first, of course, is the reason for the holiday.
The 4th of July is not just some excuse to take a day (or for some, 10 days) off work.
It’s not just a reason to eat, drink, and talk too much. It’s a celebration of our freedom from tyranny. It’s a day to give thanks to our Founding Fathers for risking all they had, including their lives, to give us freedom. It’s also a day to thank every soldier from that time to today.
Give thanks that America IS a land of freedom and opportunity, and then make the most of that opportunity by being ready to promote yourself and your business.
Before you leave home to visit with family, friends, and new acquaintances – get prepared.
- Practice your elevator speech, because someone is going to ask “What do you do?”
- Practice a positive reply to “So, how’s real estate?”
- Put plenty of business cards in your pocket.
If your family and friends have out of town visitors, remember that they also present an opportunity. If you network on Active Rain, you probably know an agent or two in their city, so be helpful if they happen to mention an upcoming move. Tell them you’ll be happy to help them find a top agent – then take their information and follow up.
This week, celebrate our Independence – and your opportunity
to gain a new client or two!
