“When you change the way you look
at things, the things you look at change.”
— Wayne Dyer: Self-development author and speaker

This seems important today, as the media once again lets us know we’re being taken for a ride. It would be way too easy now to focus only on what’s wrong and decide that our government has gone completely insane.

20 Billion to bail out a bank – and they’re going to spend 400 million of it to put their name on a stadium!!?? While WE work hard to pay the taxes?? Of course, it’s not our taxes that will pay for it – it’s borrowed money or printed money or some other kind of nonsense. But our great-great-grandchildren will be paying for it.

Anyway… enough of my soap box. The point is, this kind of news can make us all feel like there’s no hope for the world – or for our individual enterprises. But that kind of thinking will do far more harm than good.

At the risk of sounding like a Pollyanna, I have to say that while those negative things are there, we each need to focus on what’s good and what’s working. And keep our eyes on our own goals.

Don’t give in to thinking the current economic crisis will destroy you – because if you do, it will.

Be sincere when you sit down to Thanksgiving Dinner and someone asks what you’re thankful for this year. And spend some private time thinking about those things. Focus on them and work toward having more of the same. The little things count too, you know.

Right now I’m going to focus on being glad I have a client who is expecting my call in a few minutes…

I’m going to keep right on building my business – I hope you do the same!
